Do you have any licensing information?
Yes, Spike Pictures's images are rights protected, not royalty free. This means that we record and can restrict the allowable uses to which the images you have chosen can be put. This affords you the knowledge of exactly what the image has been used for in the past, something which is of great value in most commercial and editorial applications.

An important point to understand is that a licence to use is a grant of reproduction rights and is not a transfer of ownership or copyright. When we licence an image to you, it will be for a specific set of uses which will be defined in your printed licence to use. You must ensure the image is not used for any other purposes as this contravenes local law and international copyright conventions. As custodians of our artist's work and our clients trust in us, we vigorously pursue illegal and unauthorised uses.

Spike Pictures also offers the option of exclusivity on its rights usage packages. For an additional fee, we will provide protection against possible conflicts of use within your industry and/or territory. This will ensure no other party could use the image within this rights usage domain. This is often of great value for prominent campaigns or artworks.

How do I purchase an image from the SpikePictures.com website?
Licences can be purchased for all images on the SpikePictures.com site. However, images must be licensed by a Spike Pictures representative before they can be used.

To purchase image licences contact your local office. Your sales account executive will discuss your intended use, check availability of your selected images, provide a price and issue a license for use.

If you wish, you can email your intended use to your local office. To do this, type the usage information in to the 'Pricing/Ordering' field found on each image detail page.

Please provide as much detail as possible on your intended image. This should include the following: media, duration of use, print run/circulation, size of exposure (fraction of page/area), exclusivity or non-exclusivity rights. If there are other images you would like quoted, please also indicate those image numbers and related uses. An account executive will respond with a quote as soon as possible.
